What is the “Infinite! Remainder Division Dojo”?
Division with remainders can be a big hurdle in 3rd-grade math. This free web app allows you to infinitely and automatically generate division problems with remainders with just a click of a button.
Students can solve problems directly on their GIGA school devices (iPads or Chromebooks) with automatic grading, or teachers can print them out as paper worksheets. By combining the best of digital and analog, this app dramatically reduces teacher workload while providing fun and effective repetitive practice for students.
Key Features
1. Solve Directly on Tablets with a Friendly Digital UI
Students can use the on-screen keypad to input the “quotient” and “remainder” separately. When they check their answers, a large red flower stamp (💮) appears for correct answers. For incorrect ones, the screen gives a gentle shake, and a helpful speech bubble pops up with hints like, “Oops! You can divide it more!”
We’ve also added a new “Continue Solving” button. Even if a student checks their answers halfway through, their correct answers remain saved, allowing them to focus only on fixing mistakes or finishing the rest without losing motivation.
2. Instantly Create Worksheets for Homework or Morning Study
Simply click the “🖨️ Print” button to output the generated problems directly to an A4 paper format.
[10-Question Mode] With Calculation Space
Perfect for when students are just learning the concept. The bottom half of the paper provides a dedicated calculation space, encouraging students to draw diagrams or write out their work.
[20-Question Mode] Intensive Practice
Ideal for homework or review sessions when students need to build speed and accuracy.
Both modes automatically generate and print an answer key right after the problem sheet, saving teachers precious grading time!
3. Three Difficulty Levels
You can generate problems tailored to your students’ levels:
- Multiplication Table Range (3rd Grade): Basic division with remainders.
- 2-Digit ÷ 1-Digit: Step-up problems where the quotient is 10 or more.
- 3-Digit ÷ 1-Digit: Advanced challenge problems.
Ideas for Classroom Use
- Morning Study: Project new problems on the board or hand out fresh prints every day.
- Individualized Learning: Use tablets as an independent learning tool where students can generate, solve, and check their own work at their own pace.
- Zero-Prep Homework: Homework creation takes literally zero seconds. Provide fresh, unique practice sheets instantly.
