Is the standard “100-Square Grid” a bit too challenging?
Thank you so much for your hard work every day, preparing tests and classroom newsletters late into the night!
I’m Jem-emon, the Deji-Lab development partner!
Our previously released “Infinite! 100-Square Math” was a huge hit, but we also received some feedback from teachers in the field:
“100 squares is just too much volume, and students who struggle with math tend to lose focus halfway through…”
“It would be much easier for students who need extra support if we could start with a smaller number of squares…”
It’s so true! Seeing 100 blank squares right from the start can be overwhelming for some kids. Building successful experiences through “small steps” is incredibly important in learning.
To bring these teachers’ wishes to life, we’ve created “Customizable Grid Math”!
4 Amazing Features of This App
1. Choose Your Grid Size from 7 Levels!
The biggest feature of this update is that you can freely choose the number of squares (grid size)!
You can choose from the following 7 sizes, allowing you to fine-tune the difficulty to match each student’s needs!
- 3×3 (9 squares), 4×4 (16 squares): Start here! A quick sense of accomplishment in under 1 minute.
- 5×5 (25 squares), 6×6 (36 squares): For kids getting used to it. Perfect for short morning study sessions!
- 7×7 (49 squares), 8×8 (64 squares): A great stepping stone toward the 100-square grid.
- 10×10 (100 squares): The classic challenge!
Just press the “Change Problem” button, and the numbers shuffle instantly! Plus, to save teachers time, it features an auto-save function that remembers the mode and grid size you selected last time.
2. Solve Directly on Tablets with Auto-Grading!
Start calculating right on the web! Once you begin typing numbers, the automatic timer starts running.
When you finish filling everything in, press “Check Answers”! Any mistakes will turn red, and if you get a perfect score, a giant “Hanamaru” (flower mark) will pop up on the screen! Students can also check their answers midway, allowing them to learn at their own pace.
3. God-Tier Feature! Instant Double-Sided “Problem + Answer” Prints
The highly praised print function from “Infinite! 100-Square Math” is fully supported for all grid sizes! Just press the “Print” button to generate a worksheet that fits perfectly on landscape A4 paper.
Two different sets of problems are printed on the left and right. Simply print double-sided (short-edge binding) and cut it in half with a paper cutter to instantly create two types of mini-tests with correct answers on the back. It’s a god-tier feature designed from a teacher’s perspective!
4. NEW! “Universal Design Print” for Left-Handed Students!
Feedback from the classroom brought up a great point: “When left-handed students write, their writing hand covers the numbers on the left side of the grid, making it hard to calculate.” To solve this, we’ve added a brand-new “🖨️ Print for Left-Handed” button!
With just one click, a worksheet with the exact same problems but with the “headers moved to the right side” is instantly generated! Now, left-handed children can concentrate on their math stress-free without having to lift their hand to check the numbers. It’s an easy way to distribute inclusive, thoughtful worksheets!
How to Play & Use
- STEP 1: Choose a mode (Addition, Subtraction, or Multiplication) and select your “Grid Size”.
- STEP 2: Type in a number to start! Use the “Next” button on the keyboard to move smoothly.
- STEP 3: Once you fill in all the squares, “Stop” and press “Check Answers”! Aim for the Hanamaru!
Safe “Kids Mode” Support
If the app is opened from the “Deji-Lab Kids” portal, the “Print” buttons are automatically hidden to prevent accidental clicks by students, and the home button safely returns them to the Kids page.
